Kindergarten Prep classes are designed for children that will be turning 4 prior to September 1.
Children may attend this class 2, 3 or 5 days per week for 2.5 or 3.5 hours per day. There will be 12-14 students in each Kindergarten Prep class.
The Kindergarten Prep classes will focus on…Kindergarten Preparation Skills. Angie’s Kinder Academy uses a theme based curriculum that offers a wide range of hands-on learning, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) and music & movement activities. The Kindergarten Prep will participate in class parties and field trips to explore learning outside of the classroom.
The Kindergarten Prep class will be learning and reviewing all of the information taught in the Preschool class. This class will also have a large focus on pre-reading and reading skills going as far as each individual student is able. The majority of students in this class will be reading before they enter Kindergarten. Kindergarten Prep students will also begin their journey into basic math exploring addition and subtraction. Math focus is based on the number of days children attend school.
